A Different View (also ADV) is the International Association for Political Science Students' monthly Online Magazine. Founded in 2005, ADV deals with a wide range of topics including political, social, cultural and/or economic affairs.
A Different View publishes three types of articles, Academic, Opinion or Dialogue articles, which deal with specific topics referred to:
IAPSS's monthly Online Magazine A Different View reaches a wide audience of students and university teachers around the world and potential contributors to the ADV may live on different continents, hold different beliefs and political opinions but share in one task: delivering high quality, student-authored news, opinion pieces and academic articles every month!
The magazine is published online each month on the IAPSS website in PDF format, and through the World Student Press Agency syndication. It is also distributed to internal IAPSS mailing lists and to the 10,000 IAPSS members worldwide via a link in the monthly IAPSS newsletter. The deadline for articles is set on the 20th of each month (except otherwise specified on the last call for articles).
It gives undergraduate and graduate students from around the world the opportunity to shed light on the issues that their country faces through the publication of original op-ed articles.
The editors of ADV are elected on one year mandate. While nominally under the control of the Editors, the final decision on the content of the magazine rests with the Executive Committee, and the officer or volunteer responsible for IAPSS public relations.
